For optimal evaluation of a sunscreen, I recommend applying it alone after cleansing. This allows you to assess its texture, how it adheres to the skin, its moisturizing properties, and then adjust your skincare routine accordingly.
The serum has a lotion-like texture that spreads smoothly. Despite its moisturizing properties, it doesn’t feel oily or sticky. Initially, it imparts a dewy appearance but quickly sets into a satin finish. The resulting sheen adds a beautiful radiance to the complexion, giving it a healthy glow. Moreover, it feels velvety smooth to the touch.
This serum is suitable for both dry and dehydrated skin types as it provides hydration and emollient benefits simultaneously. Depending on the level of dryness and the climate, you may or may not need an additional moisturizer underneath the sunscreen.
In winter, oily and combination skin types can forego moisturizer altogether. However, in hot and humid climates, those with oily skin may find the finish too shiny or challenging to reapply.
